About the role

As a Travel Sales Consultant you will conduct in-depth, engaging and energising customer relationship building consultations to capture imaginations and really understand our customers travel preferences. You will then find the right Antarctica experience for your customer, bringing this to life , selling the benefits and confidently asking for the sale

We’re looking for someone who has previous sales experience in the travel industry.

This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role, working in a fast-paced sales environment. To thrive you need to be a self-starter, team player, driven by sales and passionate about travel and adventure.

Key responsibilities

  • Meeting & Exceeding Sales Targets: Your primary responsibility will involve creating and booking Antarctica itineraries, utilising an array of different sales skills to close and meet your monthly goals.
  • Qualifying Leads: Assessing the suitability and potential of leads by understanding customers travel needs, preferences, budget and timelines
  • Consultative Selling: Engaging with customers via phone calls/video calls/emails in a consultative manner to understand their requirements deeply and offering personalised travel solutions that meet their needs.
  • Proposal Creation: Creating travel itineraries tailored to the specific requirements and preferences of each lead.
  • Relationship Building: Building rapport and trust with customers through effective communication, active listening, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
  • Product Knowledge: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Swoop travel destinations, accommodations, transportation options, activities, and other relevant offerings to effectively advice and guide customers
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with other team members, departments, and travel partners to leverage resources, share knowledge and enhance the overall sales process and customer experience

About you

  • You will have experience selling in the travel industry
  • You are a ‘people person’ with a natural ability to build rapport
  • You love the sales process and delight in talking to customers and closing deals
  • You will have excellent organisational, prioritisation and well-developed writing skills
  • You are full of energy & enthusiasm and can bring your knowledge to life for others
  • You love to be part of a dynamic team who works hard to achieve goals with others

Employment details

  • Base salary of £23,000 + bonus of £3,000 (uncapped) + company bonus of £1,800
  • Twenty-five days paid holiday, in addition to your birthday and public holidays

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm. Although some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of Swoops global customers. You’ll also be required to work one weekend every 4-6 weeks, on a rota basis, for which you’ll be given time back during the week.
