Suntrust es un banco que le permite a sus empleados la posibilidad de superarse y escalar posiciones, entrena en cada uno de sus campos de empleo, durante mi experiencia laboral con ellos logré aprender muchas cosas relacionadas con el sistema financiero estadounidense. Mi experiencia laboral con ellos me dio la oportunidad de crecer. Me desempeñé como representante de ventas y servicio al publico para mantener y conservar una clientela fiel ofreciendo una amplia gama de productos intangibles de character financiero. También, atender reclamos y solucionarlos de manera pronta y sin traumatismos

Hard-working environment but we were very productive.

I enjoyed my tenure at Suntrust for the most part. I felt like there were too many chiefs and not enough Indians though. Staffing for back office was inadequate but we all gave it the best we could. Promotions were not always given to the most deserving.

Work hard

I worked hard and the pay was not as much as it should have been. They did promote within and that was wonderful. The pay should be more and your coach tried hard for you to succeed.

Typical call center environment, fast paced, benefits, healthcare, dental, flexible schedules, teammate environment, good management, work life balance

Horrible management. Period. Employees generally are not treated fairly. It’s dog-eat dog in a viscous culture of back-stabbing people.

I would NOT EVER recommend this institution to anyone! It’s all about getting ahead; regardless of who gets thrown under the bus in the process. Money- and power- hungry individuals who will stop at NOTHING to get ahead. What used to be a small, friendly, small-town type feeling bank is gone for good. Sad commentary on banking and society in general. Trusting people is hard these days, would be questionable to trust those in the banking industry ever again as employers…. Let alone, the “Friendly Third.”

Productive and professional

The culture is very upbeat and interactive, a lot of opportunities to advance in the company and succeed. However, depending upon which location you are at you could have a negative experience but it doesn’t change the outlook of the company.

It did what it needed

Worked there fresh out of college, got a few promotions during that time but left during the merger with BB&T. They laid a lot of people of and changed job codes. Their minimum wage increased while I was working there but they didn’t increase all wages which was a factor in me leaving. Example: After being promoted, I was making $17.50 an hr from teller to banker. They later raised the company minimum wage from $15 to $17. There were tellers with no experience making the same as some bankers even though we had way more responsibilities/experience. Also, we had way too many calls/meetings. Wasn’t an awful job though.

There was drama but what place doesn’t have that, seasoned employees should get paid more, micro management, too many meetings, sloppy merger transitions

Production was good I was able to maintain the workflow

I enjoyed working at Sun trust over 10 years if an opportunity came along I would work there again great Management team who care about the employees I have been trying to get another job there to finish out my retirement when the job which over the Company made it easy for us leaning how to do another task

Banking

During my time of employment I felt all management was not supportive in helping me achieve my goals. The rest of the staff was encouraging. Training was good but again Management at the Gaithersburg location was poor.

Good place to learn

Good place to learn and grow. Start d as an admin and worked my way to risk. It was a good experience. They had great benefits and vacation time was fair.

Nice staff

One thing I can say about Suntrust is they opened me to a lot of opportunities. They responded slowly to Covid which is why I had to leave. Also I was pregnant and the 4 month maternity leave was superb though that’s still not enough time realistically. I was sick a lot and really could not take the time I needed to be off. I threw up on myself was still asked to stay. I guess that’s how jobs are though. The staff is friendly for the most part but they do have their favorites

Fun Workplace

Suntrust was a great place to work for. Although it’s Truist now. The people here are great . The benefits are great. & of course excellent pay. The managers here are very kind and helpful. Overall I rate this company at 100%.

bad culture

Very negative culture, sweat shop environment, massive layoffs during the pandemic when other employers stood by their employees, client information confidential information is shared with vendors

None to share. Typical job clock in and clock out. Cross selling is hard and you have to be expendable. Company will take care of you if they know you want to be there

Challenging

Good benefits, training was inconsistent, many discrepancies which affected job performance. Would I recommend working at SunTrust? That would depend on the department. Moral was very low and many employees were displaced during the merger.

Good place to work overall. Good leadership and people. Pay was also OK in comparison to other banks in this region. Work life balance was fair and balanced

It was a pleasure to work here. I learned a lot and I worked with some great people. Awesome team. Couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with.

I had an easy position so no complaints. Typical too many women working together drama, but if you try to remain neutral it is no worse than most other jobs.

Productive and fun place to work

Great place to work.Could get very busy, but the work was interesting. I worked with a great team that worked well together. Management was good, but I experienced a lot of changes in this area while I was there.

Incredible Workplace

They are a well supportive of equal rights! Family is important to SunTrust aka Truist! Work and home balance is exceptional. If you want to move up, work hard and you will be noticed.

management style is all about sales

management style is all about sales not on development with no opportunities for growth. Leadership is more of bullying with more of hr and law suits. retention is very low
